Physical Feedback Through Spatial Tracking and Translation
ArchiNetics is an immersive paradigm whereby the user is embedded within a trans-connected simultaneous feedback dialogue. Within both the virtual and physical realms architectures connect the users actions within a Euclidian spatial tracking system and translate the movements into virtual mappings and physical interactions.
Feedback and InterSpatiality
Objective interfaces have always been a relevant
mode of interest and as user interfaces are becoming more and more incorporated into physical devices in to the virtual ”Screen” and software paradigm an- other mode is becoming an area of investigation: The physical mapping of space into the virtual realm that is then an interface and window back into the physical (“Thomas Wilfred’s Magic SpaceLiner”). “ArciNectics” will explore this paradigm by creating a world which tracks the physical space of the user and allow- ing them to interact with both a virtual and physical component which will be linked into multiple modes of feedback. The user interprets and adjusts between what is being done and their actions within the system, creating a playful and learned immersive environment. This is an investigation into new ways to utilize spatial interfaces and architectural constructions in the development of novel ways of exploring how we design our surroundings.
